Do you feel guilty or selfish for taking time for yourself?

With migraines, our bodies need extra attention. So our self care may look different than someone else's - and that is okay.

Self care isn't easy. It takes strength and discipline. It is woven into the fabric of my life - like drinking copious amounts of water, eating a clean diet, keeping a healthy sleep schedule, finding ways to alleviate stress, moving my body routinely... and so on. 

But it can also look like taking a bath or a nap when I need it, or staying home so I don't over extend myself, and sometimes this may look lazy or self indulgent. 

Be encouraged - self care is a gift that we not only give to ourselves, but to the rest of the world. 

When our needs are met, we have more to give. 

And what is more valuable than that?
