7 ways to Use Zen Nectar 😍

Get the most out of your jar of Zen with these easy to follow tips!

Just like Zen Nectar, this list was created by people with migraine, for people with migraine.

Hope you enjoy our favorite tips for using Zen Nectar!

1.      For migraine head and neck pain - we recommend applying your Nectar wherever the pain is. Rub into areas like temples, forehead, cheeks, jaw, back of neck and shoulders. (Use sparingly on your face since it’s strong!! and careful not to get it in your eyes.)

2.      For Allodynia of the scalp (ie: pain that feels like it extends into the hair), Zen Nectar may help. Part your hair, dip 3 or 4 of your fingers into the Zen Nectar and gently rub it into your part. Repeat. This might be difficult if parting your hair is painful - we recommend doing this slowly, allowing the Zen Nectar to take effect where its been applied and then move on when you’re ready. (Be careful when taking a shower afterwards not to get the Nectar in your eyes.)

3.      Feeling queasy? Nausea and tummy troubles are common migraine symptoms, which most of us know all too well. For this, rub it directly on your stomach. Start with a little and wait a couple minutes to feel the effects, then apply more if needed. (I use a generous amount for this but everyone’s sensitivity is different.) The tingling sensation can help relax tension and soothe your upset tummy.

4.      If you experience sinus pain, stuffiness or runny nose with your migraine, try this! Rub a little bit into your palms, close your eyes, cover your face lightly with your hands and breathe deeply in and out of your nose (don’t touch your eyes). Your sinuses will thank you.

5.       Stress and anxiety can be migraine triggers, as well as side effects of migraine. If you carry stress in your stomach, apply Zen Nectar as directed in #3. You can also follow the directions of #4 since inhaling the Bergamot Essential Oil in Zen Nectar is helpful for relieving tension and stress. After following steps #3 and/or #4, place your left hand on your chest and right hand on your stomach, breathe deeply in through your nose and exhale through the mouth. Repeat at least 10 times or as many as needed.

6.       Waking up with migraine is never the way we want to begin our day. Some Zen Nectar lovers have reported applying it at night before bed on their neck, shoulders and face helps prevent morning migraine. If you wake up most days with migraine, this could be game changing!

7.       Many of us with migraine also have fibromyalgia pain - applying Zen Nectar all over directly on areas of pain can help ease your muscles and sensitive nerves. Relax and focus on your beautiful breath.

I hope these 7 tips help bring you sweet relief and peace.

love, Sarah

P.S. A word of advice - wash your hands after applying Zen Nectar so that you avoid applying it accidentally to your eyes or sensitive skin afterwards. And do not apply a heating pad to areas where you have used Zen Nectar.
