Amber's battle with migraines

Amber Kay Miller---Yoga Instructor, Health Coach & Reiki Practitioner

Amber is a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200), Reiki practitioner and IWA Integrative Life Coach (ILC). Battling her old foes—chronic migraine and chronic fatigue from the Epstein-Barr virus—she found relief through yoga, meditation, and integrative medicine and became a corporate refugee. Amber is currently completing her 300 hour advanced yoga therapeutics training and is excited to share the therapeutic benefits of yoga with others.

Amber is passionate about teaching classes that she enjoys taking and that keep her migraine at bay; slow Vinyasa Flow with a focus on breath, Gentle Yoga, Deep Stretch, Restorative, Yoga Nidra and Meditation. At 6’3” she values yoga props and loves to teach Chair Yoga using the biggest prop of them all. In the summer you can find Amber playing outside and teaching stand-up paddleboard (SUP) yoga and water aerobics.

Amber was born in Lorain, OH and now lives in Mooresville, NC with her boyfriend and their three spoiled dogs. She owns Lake Yoga Tribe and Your Neighborhood Dog Walker, dabbles in blogging, and is a retired basketball player and triathlete. Amber has an infectious laugh and loves to let her inner child come out to play at costume contests, game nights, and day to day life. She is pro-naps and has been known to pack newspapers and plastic in her bag to take home to recycle. When she isn’t in the yoga studio (land or water) or chopping vegetables, you can find her outdoors walking a dog or two, hiking, curled up in a hammock with a good book, or traveling.
