An Uplifting Podcast 💜 Brené with Dr. Edith Eger on Recognizing the Choices and Gifts in Our Lives

I recently listened to an uplifting podcast. Brené Brown interviewed Edith Eger – a 93 year old psychologist, author and holocaust survivor.

Edi (as she refers to herself) says “I call Auschwitz an opportunity, like everything else in life.”

Wow.

Migraine can feel like imprisonment and torture – being trapped in our body, tormented by our pain. I cannot compare it to an internment camp like Auschwitz, comparison is not helpful. But I will say, migraine can create trauma.

Edi says, “we will all experience trauma, pain and loss.” But she also says, “It’s good to feel your feelings.” It’s ok to acknowledge our pain and say ‘I don’t like this,’ but we must allow ourselves to feel.

Take some time today to honor the goddess energy within you – acknowledging that your sensitivity and ability to FEEL is part of what makes you so incredibly powerful, even when it hurts.

In honor of International Women’s Day, I’m sharing this podcast so that you might find some positivity from this powerful woman.

love, Sarah
